Where Has The YouTube Embed Code Gone?

YouTube Embed Code
If you are used to using the embed code from your youtube videos to add into other articles and web pages then you might be struggling a bit at the moment and wondering where has the youtube embed code gone? Well I had this problem recently when I went to find the embed code to add to an article and it wasn’t in it’s normal place. It used to be the case that when you viewed the video on youtube the embed would just be sitting there underneath and you could just copy and paste it.
So where is the embed code now I hear you ask?! Well when I looked into this I found a couple of answers and I am not really sure why they are different. One answer was that you have to click on the ‘Share’ button underneath the video and you get the embed code option there. However I tried this and it did not work for me – all I got was options to share my video on facebook, twitter, Buzz and various other social media sites. But I did see a screenshot that showed the embed code there so maybe that is where yours is!
Where The YouTube Embed Code Is Now
Anyway, to find my embed code I actually only saw it once I had come to the end of the video. On the black screen at the end there were 3 options – one was to replay the video (as per normal), one was to copy the URL for the video and the third one was to copy the embed code for the youtube video. However, if you have a really long video you will not want to wait until the end to get that code (or you could just use the slider bar but this seems like excess energy wasted!) so what you can actually do is to right click on the video when you are playing it and get the code from there.
I understand that there have been some changes to the youtube embed code recently and now it may play in a different player but hopefully it will all still work as well as it did before but it is just less obvious where to find the code.

@83 great if it is still there for you but I have seen a few different options and posts about where it has moved to. Maybe it depends on where you are and what type of user as to where the code appears.
Thanks for sharing this information....the beauty of Hub Pages....just when you think you have it figured out...something changes and you have to figure it out again
